Due to the impending storm, the Montclair Police Department is reprogramming the annual trunk or treat for Halloween on October 31 at 4 p.m. It will take place in the back parking lot of the MPD, 647 Bloomfield Ave.
Also on Halloween, the Montclair BID Center invites candy lovers to visit more than 50 downtown businesses that will distribute candy. Participating businesses will have a “Halloween Stop” sign on their window.
After the treat, parents can capture the moment with photographer Michael Stahl, who, in collaboration with the Commonwealth Club of Montclair, will create Halloween portraits of costumed children on October 31 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Starting at 5 p.m., tune in to TV34 for Montclair’s Fright Fest with six Boris Karloff films such as “The Frankenstein House” and “The Ghoul”. Local horror lover Ilmar Vanderer and Karloff’s daughter Sara will provide commentary between the films.
Later in the evening, join Montclair Local and Armando “OUTthere” Diaz for a Weirdo Silent Disco party from 6pm to 9pm at Glenfield Park.
