The ‘world’s worst boss’ has come under fire online for allegedly restricting the use of the water cooler in his office.
A disgruntled worker claimed his boss was charging him a monthly fee for drinking cold water in a post on Reddit.
The boss, believed to be based in the US, charges staff $5 (£3.80) a month as part of what they call a ‘water club’, according to a picture of the sign attached to the device , reports Daily Star.
The sign reads: “Hello water drinker.
“If you want to enjoy this delicious POLAND SPRING WATER, please consult Sandra or Michelle to join the very cool WATER CLUB.

“This water ain’t free yo.
“Members currently get unlimited top-ups for $5 per month.”
Since its publication, the photo has received more than 72,000 upvotes and 4,500 comments from users stunned by the rating.
One person wrote in response: “‘It’s not free’ – the most professional words in the workplace.”
Another added: ‘For $60 (£45) a year this water would cure cancer better.’
A third added: “I would just draw water anyway lol. What are they going to do? Fire you for drinking water?”
Other Reddit users weighed in with similar workplace stories.
One man said: “So at the school where I worked we had a water club because the tap water sucked.
“We have a new superintendent who decides (in what was basically the one and only cool thing he did as superintendent) that he would just cover the cost of the water.
“This led to the discovery that the school secretary had lied about the cost of water, overcharging everyone and pocketing the difference.
“This led to the discovery that she had also scooped up money from a dozen other sources around the school – all to feed her huge gambling addiction!”
It comes after a woman slammed her boss for how they treated her after her mother died.
The woman shared a screenshot of the text exchange between the pair on her TikTok (@thatcountryahhblackgirl).
The photo showed an earlier message from the woman’s boss – it read: ‘Hey I heard about your mum’s passing. I’m sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine how you must be feeling.
“Let me know if you need anything. I’m here for you!”
Grateful, the woman thanked her boss. But then she received a message asking if she would come to work…
See how she responded, here.
