MARCH, Neb. (KCAU) – With RAGBRAI at Le Mars, the community is now preparing the fairground for the next county fair.
Recently, the Plymouth County Fairgrounds, where the event will be held, looked like a campground for RAGBRAI runners, but it looks like no one has been there.
“We arrived on Sunday; it was immaculate, it was perfect, they did a wonderful job. So, hats off to the RAGBRAI Committee, the City of Mars. They’ve just been tuned in, well done, and we’re perfectly set to kick off our fair this Wednesday, ”said Candice Nash, Plymouth County Fair Board Member.
Nash and the other members were able to work alongside the RAGBRAI planning committee to make sure things went smoothly.
This included changing the time when they normally start to set up the fairground.
“What we did as a fair board, we just decided to move our schedule a week. So whatever we did two weeks, we did three weeks. Everything we did a week, we did it two weeks so we kind of got done early, ”Nash said.
Currently, the Plymouth County Fair Board is putting the finishing touches to the area.
The Plymouth County Fair begins Wednesday, July 28.
