Braselton Woman’s Club to Hear from Legion Commander

The Braselton Woman’s Club is planning its next meeting for Wednesday November 3 at noon. Joe Ruttar, Commander of American Legion Post 56, will be the guest speaker.

“We look forward to his exciting Veterans Day program,” organizers said.

Participants are kindly requested to bring a lunch bag and a drink.

The group will meet at the La Quinta Inn at 200 Kaival Lane, Braselton.

Friends of the Library to Hold Board Meeting on November 4

The annual Friends of the Braselton-West Jackson Library Board of Directors meeting will be held on Thursday, November 4 at 5 p.m. in the Braselton-West Jackson Library Community Hall.

The Ezra Roar-N-Run team is scheduled for November 6 in Braselton

Team Ezra Roar-N-Run 5K and a fun one-mile run is scheduled for November 6 in downtown Braselton. The one mile run is set at 7.45am, while the 5K starts at 8pm

Race packet pickup is scheduled for Friday, November 5 between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. at Braselton Town Green at 9924 Davis Street or Saturday, November 6 before the race, starting at 7:15 a.m.

Both races begin at the lower patio of the Braselton Brothers store.

Prizes will be awarded to the best male and female runners, as well as the top three runners in each age group.

The Ezra team supports Ezra King, a 5-year-old Jackson County native who is battling a brain tumor. The funds raised will be used to cover his medical expenses.

Château Elan Vineyard Fest scheduled for November 7

The Château Elan Vineyard Fest returns for its 24th edition on Saturday, November 7.

According to the organizers, this year’s “Bon Voyage” theme will allow guests to sample more than 100 different beers, wines, spirits and food from around the world, from Georgia to the foothills of the Alps. With limited ticket sales, Chateau Elan’s annual Vineyard Fest has been a sold-out event for the past two decades.

The Red Cross announces blood drives in the region

The American Red Cross is planning several upcoming blood drives in the region, including:

• Jefferson – November 11 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Traditions of Braselton, 1665 Traditions Way

• Braselton – November 12, 1 pm to 6 pm at the Braselton Police and Municipal Court Building, 5040 Hwy. 53

• Hoschton – November 16 from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. at The Meeting House, 5615 Grand Reunion Dr.

• Hoschton – November 22 from 2 to 7 p.m. at Celebration Church, 5560 Thompson Mill Rd.

Celebrate the holiday event in Braselton scheduled for November 20

The City of Braselton will host a day of downtown holiday celebrations on November 20. The event will include a parade at 10:30 a.m., a city greenery festival and activities throughout the downtown core and will conclude with the annual tree lighting.

Those wishing to participate in the parade must register before Saturday November 6. Registration is free. The theme of the parade is “Bonbon Noël”. For more information, contact Nikki Perry at [email protected] or 678-333-1279.

The market continues until December

Hoschton will host a farmers market on the second and fourth Thursday of every month, except December, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hoschton depot. The market will run until December 9.

Braselton Fall Farmers Market has an older date

The Braselton Farmers’ Market fall schedule will welcome its final date on November 19. The market will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and will be held in the lower patio of the Braselton Brothers store along Davis Street.

Tickets on sale for the Cravin ‘Bacon March 2 in Braselton

Tickets are now on sale for Braselton’s second annual Cravin ‘Bacon Walk, which will take place on December 2 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. in downtown Braselton.

Each ticket holder will receive a map of the locations to pick up bacon-related foods at participating businesses. All walkers will also be eligible for a bacon-themed gift basket draw the next day.

Tickets cost $ 35 per person and each participant must be at least 16 years old. VIP tickets cost $ 65 and include access to the bourbon tasting rooms. A souvenir tasting glass is included. VIP ticket holders must be 21 years old.
