Booster Club hosting a variety of events in conjunction with Mega Night

A wide variety of events and activities will be part of the evening when Perry hosts Greene County on December 17th for a HOIC Junior Boys / Girls “Mega Night” on December 17th.

Perry’s basketball teams will host their Greene County rival on December 17. The event is called a “Mega Night” because the varsity and junior varsity matches will be played by boys and girls in a cage.

JV matches are played from 4:30 p.m. in the college gymnasium, with varsity action starting at 6 p.m. in the PHS gymnasium.

A wide variety of activities and opportunities will take place in the PHS commons and gymnasium, with the Perry Booster Club organizing it all.

A silent cake auction will take place, with bids available for viewing in the commons. All extracurricular activities and clubs – not just sports teams – have been invited to offer a cake, and many are already on board.

Funds raised by each individual cake will go to the club / group / sales team. Bids will be accepted until the third quarter of the boys’ college game.

A live auction will take place between the third and fourth trimesters of the boys’ college competition. Up for bids is a fun night out at the Pattee Hotel. The winner will receive a hotel cake as well as a box of designer chocolates. A dinner for two at the Pattee hotel and an overnight stay in a classic room with queen-size bed are also included.

Proceeds from the live auction will be donated to the Booster Club general fund.

In addition to the auctions, the JaysNest will be open, selling all manner of clothing and merchandise, with free holiday gift wrapping available.

Sartorial eloquence (or lack thereof) will be on full display as an ugly Christmas sweater contest takes place among PHS students, with prizes awarded for first, second and third places.

The Perry Bluejay will be on hand for the photos, as will, of course, old St. Nick himself. Father Christmas and the Bluejay will be in the commons and happy to meet young people of all ages.

The above treats and the special night will be auctioned off at the end of the third quarter of the Perry Boys’ game against Greene County on December 17. Profits will go to the Perry Booster Club.
